Fibromyalgia, Fatigue, Chronic Fatigue, Always Tired, Tired, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CFSChronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is known for causing extreme tiredness that does not get better with rest or sleep. The reason for this remains unknown. In order to diagnose chronic fatigue, many other illnesses must be ruled out. This means that a person must undergo numerous tests to finally get a diagnosis. This in itself can be exhausting and frustrating. Many times, those with CFS just want answers as to why the smallest day to day activity leaves them totally fatigued.

A link to chronic fatigue and suicide has been noted recently by a report produced by the National Health Service based in the UK. Those suffering from this condition are hesitant to seek medical care out of fear that they will be told the illness is related to mental health problems. It is important to note that CFS can cause changes in a person’s mental status. However, it is not a mental illness. Those conducting the study mentioned that it had limitations, but it does focus on the fact that CFS does come along with depression and mood issues.

Another source of frustration for those with this condition has to do with finding appropriate help to cope with symptoms. Most medical doctors will recommend a number of different medications to alleviate symptoms. Therefore, a person may have to take a variety of pills to try to cope. These all come with additional and often unwanted side effects.

Chronic Fatigue Helped by Natural Means

As an upper cervical chiropractor, I have seen a number of my patients improve in health once misalignments in the upper neck vertebrae are corrected. This is due to the fact that the brainstem is located in the same area as the C1 and C2 vertebrae. A misalignment here stresses the brainstem and negatively affects the function of the central nervous system.

By using a gentle technique that precisely focuses on each person’s individual problem, this pressure can be undone, allowing the brain and body to communicate properly once again. Many have seen their symptoms of chronic fatigue decrease, with some seeing them go away completely.
