There is no definite known cause of chronic fatigue syndrome. Some theories are that genetics play a role, viral infections may trigger the disorder, immune system malfunction may play a part, or hormonal imbalances. One very interesting theory to look into is that stress placed upon the bones of the upper neck vertebrae, called the atlas and axis, can cause the nervous system to become inflamed and not work properly.

Upper Cervical Chiropractic for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Upper cervical chiropractors take a special interest in the bones of the upper neck. We understand that a healthy spine means a healthier body. If a misalignment is present in the neck, it may be placing undue pressure or stress on the spinal column. This causes the body to miscommunicate vital signals. The misalignment may be as small as ¼ of a millimeter, but it may have a huge impact on the person’s health, possibly causing such things as chronic fatigue. Since the spinal column is part of the central nervous system, it is can also be affected by a misalignment in the upper neck.

We have had much success in relieving patients that are suffering from chronic fatigue. By realigning the upper neck vertebrae, the body can begin to heal. Communication can be restored, and the body can begin to function at a healthier level. Our patients have reported a significant decrease in chronic fatigue symptoms. Some have even seen the symptoms of this disorder go away completely. Why not set up an appointment today?
