Headaches, Migraines, Headache, Migraine, Headache Relief, Migraine ReliefNearly half of people around the world will experience a migraine at some point in their life. Healthcare providers struggle both to diagnose properly and to treat migraines. Most patients expect relief care to mean medication, but since these drugs only try to control symptoms, many patients are looking for a better solution.

Dentists are taking on a role in migraine research. In fact, a dentist in PA has recognized a link between muscles in the neck, head, and jaw and the effect they can have on migraine occurrence. Relief care that has been developed from this research involves adjusting brain chemistry in the location of the brainstem to try and reduce the frequency of migraine occurrence.

Actually, upper cervical chiropractors have known about the connection between the neck, the jaw, and migraines for quite some time now. The fact is that when the C1, or atlas vertebra, is misaligned, migraines and jaw pain are common symptoms. By going after this underlying problem, upper cervical chiropractors are working to relieve migraines on a long-term basis.

Tests, imagery, and a detailed history are all a part of the consult and examination to determine if the upper cervical spine is misaligned. Then the realignment process is customized to each individual patient. The result is the restoration of proper health to the brainstem, facial muscles, and other factors that contribute to migraines. We find that migraines can often be relieved naturally once the atlas is properly aligned.
