Traditional relief care approaches for vertigo depend on the cause but more often than not involve some type of medication to address the symptoms.  Nerve suppressants, antihistamines, and anti-nausea medications are among the most commonly prescribed.  Many vertigo sufferers out there are looking for a way to not only rid themselves of the symptoms but actually get to the root cause of their condition by taking a natural approach.

Is Natural Vertigo Relief Possible?

Your spine serves an important role in the body – to protect the spinal cord.  Your spinal cord is a dense highway of nerves that are constantly sending and receiving signals traveling between the brain and all parts of the body.  When the topmost vertebra in the neck misaligns, it can create abnormal pressure within the spinal cord at the base of the neck.  This can impact signals being sent and received by the brainstem, which can be a contributing factor in the development of vertigo symptoms.

At Henjy Chiropractic, we use the Atlas Orthogonal technique to adjust atlas misalignments.  Our adjustments are extremely precise and are individualized for each of our patients.  By gently realigning the atlas, we are able to reduce the pressure within the spinal cord.  In turn, this will allow for the proper communication of messages traveling within the nervous system, which may alleviate vertigo symptoms.  In a research study done with 60 participants all suffering from vertigo, they all received atlas adjustments, and 48 of the 60 found complete resolution of their symptoms.
